A fruitful discussion with the Vice Chancellor and the Dean for the School of Agriculture of the Fiji National University on the 11th of June 2015 is now paving the way for a strategic partnership between the Vanuatu Agriculture College and the FNU. The VAC team led by its CEO included Johnson Vora the Education Attache from the Vanuatu Embassy in Suva and Norah Rihai the VAC training manager Before the end of 2015 an MOU will be signed between VAC and FNU that will promote the following:
(1) Curriculum bench-marking with the FNU leading to a smoother pathway process for VAC graduates to pursue further studies at FNU. As part of this process there will be direct input from the FNU experts in the designing and auditing of VAC's curriculum that will lead to direct cross-crediting of courses done at VAC when students head to FNU for further study there.
(2) Teacher exchange program will result in FNU experts coming to deliver certain higher level courses on-demand when the need arises. As part of this process VAC teachers will also gain invaluable experience by going to FNU and deliver training there.
Before the end of this year, a VAC technical team will visit universities in the Solomon Islands and PNG to establish similar partnership there.
This is an exciting moment for VAC. I invite you to share in the fun by choosing to enroll at VAC. You will never regret it.
